Disappointing

Very disappointing. I was expecting a fun read, but this was just irritating to read. The heroine was selfish and callous and totally oblivious to appropriate behavior. Even though a seasoned detective recommends she not impose herself on the victims’ families she still bothers them. Even though it is recommended that she not go to a funeral where she is not welcome she shows up. And then she even confronts the murderer on her own though she has a former police officer with her—she just leaves and goes off on her own to confront this individual. I want a strong heroine but I do not appreciate one that has intellectual issues. I did not laugh nor did I enjoy this story.

Disappointing

I was so hopeful this would be a quirky, endearing book. It just felt...clunky. Everything felt forced, repetitious, and full of errors that should have been caught in editing. Our heroine is simply so clueless that I'm not sure she should be allowed out of the house. Perhaps the series will even out, but I'm thankful I had Kindle Unlimited and did not actually pay for this.

Needs a PROOFREADER

Ms. Johns, please find a PROOFREADER who has even a basic knowledge of proper spelling/word tenses or at least attempt to use SPELLCHECK. Find an EDITOR who knows to double check the proofreader.
