Q - What makes The Shadow Warder Series special?
A - I love paranormal romance and urban fantasy, so when a story crept into my head and demanded to be told, it wasn't a surprise it was a combination of those genres. I like to mix it up, so you'll find the series focuses on urban fantasy & paranormal romance overall, with elements of suspense, mystery, and thrillers. The Shadow Warder Series features a range of supernatural and human characters, including psychics (the Shadows), warriors (the Warders), my own version of witches, with plenty of magic, romance and action.

About the Author

Molle has cracked it again!

RELEASE DAY is TODAY!
As soon as I finished the previous book (Shadow’s Awakening) I ploughed straight into this one. To be honest I wasn’t sure if I was going like Kiernan as he is best described as a Womaniser, or Player or even more accurate a Man-Wh**e. I like my Heroes to be good looking, well built, sexy and to have the confidence vibe going on, but don’t usually take to those who have several women on the go at the same time. What made Kiernan stand out and not be sleazy about it all is that he had RESPECT! Every single woman he goes with knows the score, they know it is probably only a one night hook-up, they know there are others and he treats/talk to them really well. That respect even goes as far as talking about them well too as he won’t have anyone trashing or trying to demean the ladies in any way. Being a ‘Warder’ Kiernan never thought he would settle down and have a family but then he met Sorcha.
Sorcha is a strong kick ass woman who has suffered a lot over the last few decades. She has many talents but her main one is fire, when she wants to she can produce and manipulate fire in her hands and is not afraid to protect herself with it. When she hears there are leads to the whereabouts of her two friends that are missing she is determined to leave the Sanctuary and follow/track those leads and locate their whereabouts. There was an instant attraction between Kiernan & Sorcha and he agreed to go with her and of course they inevitably end up getting today. What I really liked was that it wasn’t a case of insta-love, yes the attraction and tension was there and love was declared fairly quickly (this is PNR after all!) it wasn’t instant…..I did feel that they characters had a chance to get to know each other and there was even some resistance to the bond.
I absolutely love this series and am well and truly hooked and would happily recommend it to anyone who reads PNR. Molle has that wonderful ability to create and tell a fabulous story and only feeds you enough information to put answers to some questions, but in turn create loads of others which keeps the series alive and leaves you wishing the months away to the release date of the next one.

I am in love with this series!!!

Shadow’s Pleasure is book two in the Shadow Warder series by Molle McGregor. I fell in love with Kiernan in the previous book so I was thrilled to have this book focus on him. He is a man that doesn’t play by the rules, he does what he feels is the right thing to do. How could you not love him?
Sorcha Davis hasn’t been unable to leave the Sanctuary for ten long years. Sorcha is a Shadow but she has additional powers few have. She is an empath. She should have been able to recuperate quickly from a power surge she experienced that broke down her protective shield all Shadows have. But she hasn’t been able to rebuild her shield. And there is a reason for that. A fellow Shadow, who is supposed to be her mentor, her teacher, wants her, he wants to own her, own her mind, and he is keeping her weak. Add in a very manipulative mother that sees Sorcha as a status source, and she is a prisoner.
Sorcha’s best friend and two other Shadows have been kidnapped and are being held by a power hungry Warder Director who is working together with the Vorati. Before Sorcha’s accident, she was a tracker. She knows if she can just get away from the Sanctuary, she can regain her strength and track her friend. So, Kiernan, the Warder who came to the Sanctuary with Hannah and Conner, volunteers to go with her.
As Sorcha and Kiernan go back to Charlotte to begin their search, Sorcha quickly is finally able to regain her strength and rebuild her shield. But every time Kiernan touches her, a wonderful warmth floods her body and the warmth seems to strengthen her on it’s own. Their task, though, is not as easy as she had hoped. Her friend’s mind is not the same as when she was first taken, it is damaged. So that makes it tougher to track her. At the same time, they are dealing with a dark magic that is helping to keep her friends hidden. She is determined, though, to do whatever it takes to find them, no matter what the danger to herself.
Kiernan knew the first time he felt the warmth from their touch that something was happening between he and Sorcha. Could they be bonding as his friend Conner did with Hannah? Could this be his chance to finally have a family, someone to care for that cares for him in return? But he’s going about this all wrong. Sorcha has just gotten away from ten long years of captivity. She doesn’t take well to his over-protectiveness and claims on her.
“She’d spent ten years trapped at the Sanctuary, locked away under the guise of protection. Sorcha had had enough of people telling her what was best for her. What she was permitted to do. No more. Not even for Kiernan.”
First, I want to say that I love this series, so so much. I am in love with this world Molle McGregor has created. The bonding that is taking place between these Shadows and Warders is so beautiful. With that being said, this one didn’t get to me quite as much as the previous two books. Don’t get me wrong. The chemistry between Kiernan and Sorcha was scorching, both literally and figuratively. You’ll have to read it to see what I mean by that. Wink wink! But, this one was just a little more wordy, a little too much inner dialogue. I loved the characters but just didn’t feel the bond as much as I did with Gabe and Celeste or Hannah and Conner. Speaking of Gabe and Celeste, his name has been thrown out here and there but I still am harboring hope that we will get a little more of them. I’d love to see how they are doing.
Everything is changing in the world of Warders and Shadows. Bonds are forming but evil is getting stronger. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Book 3, Shadow’s Discovery, hopefully due out sometime soon.

A really good read

I suspected things were going to heat up between Kiernan and Sorcha just based off the way the Warder stared at Sorcha the first time they met but I wasn’t prepared for the level of heat that happened in this book. Smoking hot takes on a whole other meaning in this story. Grab your bottled water, a fan and a fire extinguisher because things are heating up in the Shadow Warder world.
Kiernan is as charming as charming gets but he’s also honest, respectful and kind. His charm doesn’t come from a place of insincerity and he’s made it clear to all the women he’s hooks up with that he respects them but he’s not interested in anything serious. Settling down just doesn’t seem to be in his cards until he meets Sorcha. The Warder who gets a kick out of playing with fire and making things explode isn’t prepared for the fiery Sorcha and the way she makes him feel but once he let’s his emotions and mind settle into the reality of what is happening between the two of them he’s determined to make sure she doesn’t walk away.
Sorcha is tired of being told what to do and having her life controlled by others. She’s felt trapped for far too long. With her friends missing she sees this as an opportunity to help them as well as grab onto her freedom. She’s not sure what to think of the charming Warder Kiernan but working with him to find her friends is the best alternative she’s got. The more she gets to know the devastatingly handsome warrior the more she realizes just how much she wants him. Sorcha decides to let lust runs its course and have some fun in bed with Kiernan. A few nights of passion isn’t going to hurt but what she doesn’t expect or want is for that lust to turn into something far more meaningful. Yes, Kiernan is everything she could have ever asked for in a mate. He’s kind, charming, smart, sexy, valiant, caring, loyal, fun and strong but she wants the ability to choose her fate and not have it decided by a magical bond she doesn’t have power over.
What I like about The Shadow Warder series is how Molle McGregor builds the romances between the characters. Yes, they are attracted to one another from the beginning but there is a development in their relationships first as friends and partners before the romance and sex come into play. With that build up we get a romance story that connects to a bigger picture allowing for the introduction of new types of supernatural beings like the Mysterium and the Delectavi and revelations involving new tidbits of information and twists and turns in the plotline.
I enjoyed this second book. It was exciting and with so much going on in the story I assume that means there will be MANY more books to come in this series! Hopefully, one day we will get a book about MY Zach. Yeah, I’m claiming him as mine. If you have yet to name his potential mate Molle McGregor I’m putting the suggestion out there for the name Joy.
