A thriller to the last page.

A really enjoyable read. The author's word painting of the characters made the book seem like a movie - (this story would make a great movie). The plot was developed through the eyes of the characters, yet it was not disjointed. The transition between various scenes allowed a logical progression of action, which resulted in a slowly building suspense, artfully maintained to the end. Although the science and psychology were fictional, the human responses were believable. I'll look forward to the movie, and maybe a sequel?

Great Debut - Must Read!

Schism is the debut novel of one of my high school friends, Brett Dent. The book was released for Kindle in January for $2.99. I thought I would check it out, to be supportive, and I'm so glad I did - it had me up way past my bedtime turning pages to finish reading it - I did not want to put it down until I knew what happened next! If you enjoy sci-fi, or even if you don't...this was a well-written storyline that was full of intriguing concepts around the paranormal abilities within humans. Fast-paced, with mystery, twists, and unforgettable characters - an overall fun read.

Fantastic Sci-fi Novel!!!

I totally recommend this novel for anyone interested in paranormal sci-fi! It is a very enjoyable read that is really hard to put down. If you are a huge fan of sci-fi and not too big on extremely far-fetched concepts, you will appreciate the effort the author has put into creating such an elaborate world that remains tangible given the science behind the story. This book is awesome and I look forward to reading future works by Brett Dent!
