Wow!
By Nicole
I have only one thing to say after reading this book; wow. This story is definitely a page turner. I do not often read books like this (I usually opt for romance selections), but I am thankful that it was recommended to me. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised with the content of the book. The story is a nice mix of horror, thriller, romance, and comedy, that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good fast read. I was also surprised that this book was written by twenty year old two girls! This is not only surprising because of their age, but also because they wrote from a male's point of view and their voice's mixed so well. I was not able to tell where one author ended and another began, which I think would be very hard to do. At some points I did think that the progression of Kelsey and Matt's relationship was a little hurried, but I think that it made sense considering the situation that they were in. Overall, this book was an enjoyable read, and I will definitely be looking for more books from these authors in the future. From searches that I have done I think that this is their only book together, but I don't think that that status will last long.

The Dying Game
By Amazon Customer
The Dying Game takes you on a journey through just that...a dying game! It kind of reminded me of the Saw movies, with people trapped and each room they travel to they have to complete a task before being let out of the room,or they will die. Its told from a male POV which is rare, yet awesome. I find it hard to find books I enjoy that aren't bogged down with way too much detail...I like to be able to have the right amount of details given and let my imagination do the rest...and this book did that for me. It's a good book for YA and Adults. If you want to read something that's different from the typical PNR trend...I say get this book.
Their was only one part that really said the book was written by women, and thats when the main male character stated that he even cried during movies when animals died...but other than that, it was quite entertaining.

Ultimate question of "would you sacrifice yourself to save someone you love or save yourself?"
By ERIKA MESSER
The Dying Game starts out like most novels with joking, laughing, seeing Matt and Ashley - two siblings who are clearly good friends conversing with each other about their love lives. Matt is dating Jen, a girl that is known to "get around" and wants out but isn't sure how; while Ashley or "ash" is truly in love with Garrett and wants to give him her virginity that week. So we find that they are preparing to take a trip, but we aren't told where until they are leaving. It turns out they are going to New Orleans, and as they board the train the joking is still there, no indication on the surface that anything will go wrong - but we know by the name of the book that something will occur and it won't be good. They arrive in New Orleans and start to party and have fun, Kelsey, a good friend of all 3 is there with them, and Ashley believes that Matt should break up with Jen and get together with Kelsey because she thinks they are perfect for each other. We see a nice back and forth between Matt and Kelsey on the train ride, and FINALLY after finding out that Kelsey's ex-bf slept with his girlfriend Jen, Matt finally breaks up with her over the phone. It is kind of strange to me that Jen being his girlfriend is NOT on the trip with them. Turns out it is better off she is not there anyways. After a night of fun and make-out sessions the group is together in a cemetery and they hear something, and end up finding an underground area so they go to research it. WRONG MOVE. They are quickly all knocked out and wake up in a dark and grim room and try to find their way out. But then Matt hears someone yelling for help, so of course like any horror movie he must run and see what it is. And of course it is 2 girls strapped to tables, wounded and terrified. Only 1 is alive and Matt has to carry her back to the group. Then they are followed and must run and finally the floor opens up and they are in a room with a cryptic note that tells them they must choose their fate and play the game and possibly live or die. Rebecca, the one that Matt has saved recalls her experience here with her sister for the first time and believes she is to blame for her death. Suddenly they hear a booming voice come out of the walls "HERE ARE THE RULES". What follows is a terrifying journey of 4 friends and 2 other groups of people that are also trying to find their way out. Will they all survive or will they have to do something horrible to make it out alive? I am a sucker for stories about solving riddles to survive like the movie Saw and The Cube. Would you play???? Would you take even the SLIGHTEST chance that you may live???? That is the dilemma that they face in the book, and from the prologue it sounds as if one of them is the lone survivor. This book definitely begs the question ... would YOU sacrifice yourself to save those you love or would you save yourself instead? And is that the question they will have to face? That small tidbit leaves you on the edge of your seat the entire time wondering who lives and who dies - and ultimately WHO is behind the torturous game and why? I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire book, read it in 3 sittings because I couldn't put it down! I received a complimentary ebook in exchange for an honest review :)
