Grace Tolliver, former probation officer and present owner of Pearl's antique lamp shop, located in a historic Cape Cod village, once again finds herself embroiled in a murder investigation. Ben was Bella's godson and she prevails upon Grace to help her find the person who murdered him. The first detective on the scene is none other than Andre Cruz, the same detective that led the investigation into the death of a customer of the lamp shop, the previous winter. He is not too happy to find Grace once again at the scene of the murder. And, Grace is not too happy to find herself once again being interrogated by the handsome detective. Especially since they'd been involved in a romantic relationship that had not ended well. The last thing Grace wants is to get involved in the case. But, after someone desperately searching for a valuable antique lamp, missing since Ben's murder proves that they will do anything to get their hands on it, she vows to find the violent and relentless killer. Grace must face unimaginable danger in her quest to bring peace and safety back to the lives of those she cares about most.

About the Author
Patricia Driscoll is a former San Francisco probation officer. Her family lives on Cape Cod and she is a frequent visitor. "Murder in a Different Light," is the sequel to "Shedding Light on Murder," the first book of the Grace Tolliver Cape Cod Mystery series."

The plot will keep you guessing while you enjoy the sights

The plot will keep you guessing while you enjoy the sights, sounds and people of a smalltown Cape Cod town as seen through the eyes of Grace Tolliver, who is wise and kind and shares her sardonic thoughts with the reader. Ms. Driscoll's characters come alive in the forms of Bella and Michael, her senior citizen friends and employees at the lamp shop, both are fun, feisty and full of life. There's Andre, the detective, who Grace can't be sure is the one for her... c'mon Grace, he seems perfect ! Fun from the beginning, hiking with "The Merry Widows," keeping tabs on her failing but forever young father, dealing with a variety of local snobs, running the lamp shop and, of course, tyring to solve the mystery of who killed of Ben Walwyn. The murderer doesn't like Grace, Bella or Michael one bit !

Another well-crafted and plotted cozy mystery

We return to Cape Cod with Patricia Driscoll in her sequel to “Shedding Light on Murder”, another well-crafted and plotted cozy mystery.
Grace Tolliver owns Pearl’s Antique Lamps and Shades in the town of Barnstable. As usual in her life, Grace is dancing as fast as she can while dealing with persnickety customers, a murder, moving the store and all its fixtures, a too-handsome for her own good detective, her employees, a cat, a dog – and that’s just to start!

Really liked the characters and it moved at a nice pace. I didn't guess the killer which was great. I hope that there will be more in this series.
